About Dressage Queensland
Dressage Queensland (DQ) is a voluntary, sport discipline sub-committee of Equestrian Queensland, dedicated to dressage. Dressage is a method of horse training in existence since ancient Greece and an Olympic sport since the inception of the modern Olympics in the late 1800’s.
DQ is dedicated to education, the recognition of achievement and the promotion of dressage. DQ is a tax-exempt – non-profit organisation with many different educational programs, 55 affiliate local and regional clubs and more than 20 annual awards for excellence in competition.
The national levels, Preliminary to Advanced levels, are governed by Equestrian Australia. The International levels are governed by the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI).
