Dear Affiliate Clubs,

As we progress into the commencement of the competition year can I please impress upon you all the need to make sure your affiliation with Equestrian Qld Inc. is paid up and current.

In 2013, Equestrian Queensland with its Sports Committees will continue to work to strengthen the relationship it has with its Clubs and Groups, as we recognise that this relationship is vital to the bright future of equestrian sports.

Equestrian Queensland would also encourage all Clubs to place before their members, Equestrian Queensland membership.  The benefit to riders in having 24/7 personal accident insurance alone should be incentive enough to have them seriously consider this offer.  Your Club will receive a rebate of $10.00 for every new member endorsed by the Club, that signs up with Equestrian Queensland for the first time.  We will credit $10 toward your Club that can be used for future affiliation or as directed by your club.

We wish to remind you that any Club that runs an ‘Official’ Equestrian Australia (EA) event must be an Affiliate Member and must hold a Public Liability Insurance Policy. In the circumstances where a non-affiliate club holds an EA event, its results will be regarded as ‘unofficial’. They will also be in breach of the intellectual property rights of EA as they will have illegally used EA rules that they have no right to use as a non-affiliate. Riders participating in such events also have no insurance cover as the event will not be considered an endorsed EQ event.

We require all Clubs/Groups that hold ‘Official’ events to send in their results electronically to the Equestrian Queensland Office within 2 weeks of the Event.  The reason for this is to ensure our records are as up-to-date as possible on our web database. In addition, we are seeking to increase the exposure of equestrian sports. To do this, we would like to promote the events and results to the media as quickly as possible, as well as placing the results on our website.

We appreciate any feedback or input you would like to offer in relation to how Equestrian Queensland can ensure that there is a bright future for equestrian sports or how Equestrian Queensland can service your Club more thoroughly.

Equestrian Queensland is committed to facilitating Affiliate Member Groups in developing equestrian sports in Queensland in 2013.

I look forward to welcoming your  Club/Group to Equestrian Queensland and to working with you in the delivery of equestrian sports in 2013.

Regards
